Mechanical Engineer
Location: Stavanger
Reports to: Mechanical Lead
Language requirements: English
The Opportunity
As a Mechanical Engineer at Easee, you’ll play a key role in developing the mechanical components and products that define the next generation of our technology. You’ll work hands-on in a small, multidisciplinary team - collaborating closely with colleagues across Hardware, Production, and Industrial Design to turn ideas into manufacturable, high-quality products.
This role suits someone who enjoys both design and problem-solving, who’s motivated by technical challenges, and who wants to see their work move all the way from concept to production.
We welcome both experienced engineers and those earlier in their careers who are eager to learn and develop within product design and manufacturing.
What you will do
You’ll be responsible for designing and developing mechanical parts and assemblies that meet functional, aesthetic, and manufacturing requirements. Working closely with electronics engineers and industrial designers, you’ll ensure our designs are robust, cost-efficient, and follow them throughout our products lifecycle.
You’ll maintain and continuously improve existing products while creating clear, detailed documentation, including 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials - using modern CAD, simulation, and PLM tools. You’ll also take part in early-stage concept development and feasibility studies, helping define the architecture of future Easee products. Prototyping will be a hands-on part of your work, using 3D printing and other rapid manufacturing techniques to bring new ideas to life and validate them quickly.
A key aspect of the role is ensuring that all mechanical designs meet relevant compliance and safety standards. Through this, you’ll directly contribute to the quality, reliability, and scalability of Easee’s products.
We believe that you are a good match if you are:
A structured and motivated engineer who enjoys solving complex challenges and turning ideas into tangible, high-quality products. You thrive in a collaborative environment, take ownership of your work, and continuously look for ways to improve both design and process.
Further we believe you to be:
- Analytical, solution-oriented, and eager to learn
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- A team player who values open communication and knowledge sharing
- Curious about manufacturing technologies and materials
- Quality-driven, with an eye for both function and detail
What you need to bring along
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or a related field). Relevant experience can compensate for formal education
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant engineering experience
- Proficiency in 3D CAD design and 2D documentation
- Fluent in English
It’s a plus if you have experience with FEA or CFD simulation, and enjoy working where mechanics, electronics and software meet.
Knowledge of injection molding, manufacturing processes, and industry standards is valuable, as is a good grasp of DFM principles and mechanical production methods.
Experience with PLM systems or collaborative design environments is a bonus – we believe the best ideas are built together.
What’s in it for you

- Work hands-on with advanced technologies and innovative solutions
- Get the opportunity to make an impact and see your work reach customers all over the world
- Contribute directly to the design and development of innovative, sustainable technology
